ADA, Okla. (KXII) - A suspect has been arrested in an Ada bank robbery Monday evening.

Ada police say Matthew Pettigrew, 40, was arrested in Seminole County Tuesday after his vehicle was located just north of the county line around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Deputies, Ada Police, the FBI, and Seminole Nation Lighthorse Police officers all assisted in his arrest.

Authorities say Pettigrew robbed the Citizens Bank of Ada inside Walmart around 6:00 p.m. giving the teller a note advising to place all the cash in an envelope.

The teller complied with the subject’s request, and Pettigrew left without incident.

The FBI and Ada Police immediately began searching for the suspect after the robbery Monday night.

Authorities have not said if this robbery or suspect are related to Friday’s bank robbery in Ardmore.
